I build and operate platforms, automate repetitive work, and spend an unreasonable amount of time figuring out why distributed systems are behaving strangely.
I like systems that are simple to operate, easy to reason about, and preferably boring when they're running. 😅
$ whoami --work
Since 2021, I've been building and running a Kubernetes platform for a B2B / EDI / API integration product. It's now home to more than 400 tenant environments across multiple clusters.
At that scale, a small manual task stops being small. Putting extra effort into deployment automation, GitOps, and how tenants are isolated and scaled pays off: more environments shouldn't mean the same increase in work.
I've worked in IT since 2008, starting in system administration before moving into DevOps and platform engineering. I still think like someone who has to keep things running.
I like getting to the bottom of a problem, keeping things understandable, and building small tools that save someone from doing the same thing again tomorrow.

$ whoami --about
Outside work, I'm a basshead: uptempo, raw, hardcore, Deutscher Krach, and hardstyle. I've been to Defqon.1 several times. The preference for boring only applies to platforms.
I also play MapleStory and WoW, and share life with a Swedish fiancé and a Keeshond.
